Lemongrass Beef with Vermicelli Noodles aka Bun Bo Xao Xa Me
2 lbs filet mignon
1 bag of vermicelli noodle
1 bunch salad
Cucumbers
Bean sprouts
Mints
Green onion
White onion
Garlic
Chopped peanuts
Sesame
Step 1: Marinate
1. Thinly sliced the filet mignon then put in glass bowl
2. Add 1 tsp sugar
3. 1/2 tsp salt
4. 1 tsp chicken powder
5. 1 tsp fish sauce
6. 1/2 tsp black pepper
7. 1 full soupspoon chopped lemongrass
8. 1/2 tsp chopped garlics
Mix all in meat, then add 1 tsp cooking oil and let sit for 15 minutes
Step 2: Prepare Salads and Onions
1. Cut salad and mint then put in bowl
2. Cut onion then add into small glass bowl, add 2soupsoon cooking oil,1/4 tsp salt and some sugar then stick in microwave (with a plastic wrap) for 30 secs
3. Cut white onion in half and slice then put in separate bowl
4. Dice the other half of white onion and put in separate bowl
5. Cut green onion into 2” then put in #3
Step 3: Fry Meat
1. Prepare frying pan on high heat
2. Add 1 soupspoon cooking oil
3. Add 1 soupspoon chopped white onion
4. Stir fry then add 1 full tsp chopped lemon grass then stir well
5. Add beef then stir fry
6. add that 1/2 sliced onion and 2” of cut green onion in and stir well
Voila, you’re done.
I Will be making it this weekend and will post pictures then.
