Fried Fish Sauce  Chicken Wings  aka Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam Empty Fried Fish Sauce Chicken Wings aka Canh Ga Chien Nuoc Mam

Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings (soak in vinegar and salt)
2 jalapeños
1/2 white onion
1 bunch green onion cut in 2”
Salads
Cucumbers
Tomatoes

Marinate chicken wings:

1. 1/2 tsp chicken powder
2. 1/3 tsp salt
3. 1/2 tsp black pepper
4. 1/2 tsp white wine

Marinate overnight or 30 minutes if u don’t have time (preference)

Step 1:

1. Cut white onion in half, slice then separate them then put in bowl
2. Cut green onions 2” then put alll in bowl
3. Cut jalapeños diagonally
4. Prepare salads on dish
5. Slice tomatoes then put on fish
6. Cut and put on dish

Step 2: liquid fish sauce mixture

1. 4 soupspoon sugar
2. 4 soupspoon fish sauce
3. 1 soupspoon Chopped onion
4. 1 soupspoon sriracha
5. 1/2 tsp chicken powder
6. 1/2 tsp black pepper
7. 2/3 lime squirt in mixture

Step 3:

1. Microwave chicken wings for 7;minutes ( cover with seran wrap)
2. With a clean plastic bag, use tapioca starch, put in bag, then put wings in bag w/ flour
3. Add more tapioca starch then shake the bag with chicken

Step4:

1. Prepare oil pot on high medium( test oil with chopsticks, if it bubbles, then the oil is good)
2. Put chicken wings in pot then close lid for 10 minutes or until crispy yellow
3. prepare frying pan on high heat
3. Add chopped garlic in then stir, add green onion , jalapeños and slice white onion in and stir again
4. Add liquid  fish sauce mixture in then add fried chicken wings into mixture and stir well
5. Put on salad dish that you prepared

Voila, you’re done. It’s crispy and crunchy and goes well with a can of beer. Yum!!!!

I used drumsticks vs wings  since Hubby dont like wings.

It took me  twice the frying and cooking time due to  the drumsticks size. All I had to do was double the ingredients.

I marinated the little drumsticks yesterday and we had this again with rice for dinner tonight.  It took me about 30 minutes to do the first round. Not bad at all.


Hubby liked the sauce in white rice so I made it more this time.
