    Steamed Rice Flour Cake aka Banh Beo

    Ingredients:

    1 bag of rice flour
    2 soupspoon tapioca starch
    Shrimp
    Carrots
    Green onion
    Fried shallots
    Fish sauce
    1/2 bag of mung beans ( peeled)

    Step 1: Flour Mixture ( there’s premade flour but it’s more expensive so I make mine from scratch)

    1. Boil 10 cups of water
    2. Prepare 1 bag of rice flour with 2 soupspoon of tapioca starch
    3. Add 4 cups of hot water in mixture and stir
    4. Add 6 cups of water water into mixture and stir well
    5. Let sit aside to rest

    Step 2:

    1. Boil 1/2 bag of mung beans for 30 mins and pour in drainer when done

    Step 3:

    1. Prepare steamer on high heat
    2. Dab the little steam Cake dishes with cooking oil (I use napkins)  and lay them in steamer

    Step 4:

    1. Boil shrimp then grind well and fry on high heat with 1.5 cloves of chopped garlics
    2. 6 small carrots ( preference since I don’t eat shrimp), grate off skin and grind well, strain juice with cheesecloth and use filtrate to fry with 1.5 cloves of chopped garlics

    Step 5:

    1. Pour enough portion ( preferably flushed) of flour mixture into steam cake dishes
    2. Until water reach boiling point, Close lid and steam for 5-7 minutes
    3. Repeat procedure until done
